The gif shows all the stages I went through in making this picture so it's pretty interesting.

This is my character aYu, who has shown up in my gallery several times and I've even done a tutorial on how to draw and colour realistically featuring him. It's my featured artwork and has the most views and faves I've ever had. You can see the tutorial HERE: [link]

aYu is really fun and groovy. He's a Japanese rock-star (completely fictional and of my own invention), an amazing guitarist and a bit of a weirdo. YES I realise he looks girly but a lot of my favourite musicians do. Besides, I think he's pretty. Don't diss my prettyboys! It's a symptom of anime and jrock combined. Well, aYu's initial creation was partially inspired by Miyavi and Miyavi is the only living person who I've seen that looks even half like aYu so if you see similarities, that's where it's from.

Everything was done in photoshop. The picture outline was drawn with a mouse with only the most minimal help of the tablet (Since I've been drawing well with a mouse recently I figured I'd carry on in the same trend). Hair, eyes, jewellery and eyebrows were mostly the work of the tablet which (though I can't draw with it to save my life) I figured I'd try. After all, I am good drawing little details with it if not much else.
