For a long time I thought that there was nothing I could draw better than myself and indeed sometimes my characters look a bit like me in the eyes but I've never drawn a completely accurate self portrait before.
There are mistakes with this... I am not that thin and my chest isn't that large even with nice bras and my hair isn't flat on one side. But the face is accurate.
Watercolour paper, watercolours, HB pencil, 5B pencil, new black fineliner, old and faded black fineliner.... and caviar sandwiches (hopefully not evident in the picture itself).
that's a very good self portrait. it's so much harder to draw yourself than other people- i think it's because you are bing more critical with yourself and want to get it right... you did really well ^_^

Thankees. Heehee. Thankees. Actually I think this picture is a bit different... I don't know why... maybe it just feels different. Maybe it's the smile. I don't and can't usually draw smiles in which teeth are visible.
Thank you. But I vaguely cheated. I did it from a photograph. Not that that's really cheating. I think that it's the only way I could ever draw myself well. It's so hard to be objective when analysing yourself.
*Points* It's you dude!
I need to get around to putting up a decent self-portrait someday. I mean, I've done decent self-portraits before but they all have that 'drawn as an observational study for an art project' vibe.
