Backgrounds and scenery really aren't my thing usually but every once in a while I feel like having a good crack at them. Inspired by looking at a bunch of speedpaint things recently I thought I'd scribble a nice big wave (any and all references taken from searching for wave pictures on google). For one thing it's absurdly large so I don't recommend looking closer than full view but if you REALLY want to download you can see it full size and see just how messy it actually is. What were you expecting from a mouse-drawn digital piece anyway?
On the whole I am pleased with the atmosphere and completely baffled by how I actually managed to pull off some decent water for once. I hope you guys like it.
(Incidentally, the scene isn't entirely complete; there is one more element to be added, which will be the most detailed part of it, even if it will be rather small - I haven't even drawn that part of the picture yet but I will add it at a later date.)
Its great! whats the next element?
coincedentally, i was thinking of doing some kind of mother nature elemental peice when i saw a national geographic special on tornadoes XD

The next element is a giant white tiger with a boy on its back sitting on top of the wave - it's from a scene in the book I'm writing. The boy rides accross the sea on a giant magical white tiger. It's a fab moment in the book and I really get to go to town with the desciption... it's the only reason I ever drew this wave in the first place.

Hehe, it's tough to do something when your heart isn't in it, which is why I seized this opportunity because for once I felt like giving this sort of thing a go.
I posted on the forum asking people to show me their green deviations and I got a lot of very good green deviations. Please show your support for these artists by faving their art and faving this article.
