Artist's Comments
A reasonably realistic face picture of aYu and all the stages I went through in making it.
I have also added the writing so that you may better follow what I have done and changes in each picture, as well as how I have done it. I thought that all the changed would be easier to see if I kept the picture full size throughout. I hope you find this helpful and if not, at least interesting. I thought it was a pretty good idea to document how the picture started from scratch so that not only those who want to colour but those who want to draw can make use of this. :!::!::!::!::!:IMPORTANT NOTE:!::!::!::!::!: If you want to comment on the picture itself rather than the tutorial, please go to the picture itself in my gallery which is to be found here: [link] |

I can't get the actual picture to load though. I mean, my internet is always slow but today it seems worse than usual. *kicks it*

Well, shading and drawing works the same way no matter what you are using. And even if I did get a tablet I would still use the same method of drawing a picture and then colouring it underneath. It wouldn't look all that different except that I'd be able to put in more detail in my hair.
Hmm, I see your point. It's just that my style and way of working has changed a LOT since getting a tablet. You know how I just used to view pencils as a way of outlining basic shapes?
